As the Managing Director of Lamext Limited I can look back on more than 30 years of experience of working in the UK PVC window industry as a supplier of machinery and adhesive for the foil lamination process. During this time, I have had the pleasure of working with many of the UK’s leading system houses and profile lamination companies. So, I would like to think that I understand the market’s needs and requirements.
In the last few years, it has become increasingly apparent that UK customers no longer wish to single source vital products. Therefore, it is our aim to introduce a readily available premium quality on trend alternative exterior film into the UK market.

Exterior Films feature the tried and tested cool colors technology. This reduces heating of window profiles, even when exposed to intense sunlight. Special colour pigments reflect up to 80 percent of radiation in the near infrared range. This means that the product composite of cool colors films on PVC profiles remains measurably cooler than comparable standard products. And reduces the risk of product failures and premature aging.
Surfaces for outdoor areas are intensively weathered as part of long-term testing, and offer unsurpassed robustness and durability on the market.
Application for the residential & commercial sectors
Window profiles: Year on year foil laminated PVC profiles continue to gain market share against unfoiled PVC profiles. The explosion in new colours and textures to the foils has added greater value to finished products. Many PVC window companies have large ranges of lamination machines. Faster set ups and automated lamination machines now mean systems houses can hold and laminate large ranges of foil colours. Whether it’s a matt aluminium look or realistic wood looks: Exterior films make window profiles more robust and easier to clean and turn them into a sophisticated design element.
Doors & Garage doors: For a uniform view of the outside of the building, we also offer surfaces for front doors and garage doors. These are perfectly matched to our collections for window profiles in appearance and feel.
Façades: Coatings for outdoors also lend façade elements a special look, from technical to natural. They are maintenance-free, resistant to wind and weather, and particularly durable.
*Exterior foils are intended exclusively for industrial processing. They do not have any self-adhesive properties, but are mechanically laminated. We provide suitable processing recommendations for all Surface Solutions.
Technologies for high-performance coatings

Thanks to the patented cool colors technology, heat radiation from the sun is largely reflected. As a result, the window profile remains measurably cooler, and the window remains dimensionally stable.
For extremely hot climates, exterior foils with cool colors PLUS technology are the right choice. Their special three-layer structure allows for even greater reduction in heat absorption, especially with trendy particularly dark window profiles.
